Here's my CPU specs: Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-8750H CPU 2.20GHz w/ 32gb of ram. I've followed all of the advice in the thread so far, and can't get it to work.
Hey all, I'm having some trouble getting the game to run at more than ~15 fps during gameplay. RPCS3 is an experimental open-source Sony PlayStation 3 emulator and debugger written in C++ for Windows and Linux.
Other great apps like RPCS3 are Play! PS2 Emulator, Xenia, Nucleus and Short Waves.
The best alternative is OpenEmu, which is both free and Open Source.
ADL's performance is by far the best of any CPU arch. There are five alternatives to RPCS3 for Windows, Linux, Mac, Android and iPhone. With disabled E-cores you get AVX-512 and higher ring ratio. If you are using an Alder Lake (Intel 12th Gen) CPU with RPCS3, make sure you disable the little cores, otherwise you're leaving a lot of performance on the table. I have old as fuck 2600K (4.4GHz) so more recent CPUs will give you much better results, still it's quite impressive in some cases. You can now force 30FPS games to render in framerates above that limit, results vary from title to title and I tested some games to check it out.
I don't even mess with settings anymore except for scaling. stop kidding yourself that some magic setting is going to suddenly make it work. if you are frustrated with RPCS3 its because your CPU is not a beast.
Capable of offering classic PS3 titles at high fps and resolution IF your system is powerful enough! PlayStation 3 emulation on PC is evolving, and RPCS3 has quickly become one of the best emulators available. After that probably 15% of any other game, typically 4rd or 4th quarter. It freezes about 80% of the time whenever its the 1st game I plan upon booting up (usually late 1st quarter). My RPCS3 is starting to freeze about 30% of the time during NCAA games. Initially hosted on Google Code, the project was eventually migrated to GitHub later. RPCS3 was founded by programmers DH and Hykem. From the project’s page: The world’s first free and open-source PlayStation 3 emulator/debugger, written in C++ for Windows and Linux. RPCS3 is a Sony PlayStation 3 Emulator running on Windows, Linux, and BSD.
This transactional memory support is able to significantly speed up RPCS3, upwards of 40% in some cases. Thanks to recent improvements to RPCS3, this PlayStation 3 emulator is able to provide major performance improvements for Intel Skylake and newer CPUs offering support for Transactional Synchronization Extensions (TSX). I do not think you will get 60fps with that. I personally would not try any emulation on an AMD but you can try.
